Success! Queen of Elysian Heights

The Silver Lake Heritage Trust is proud to announce our latest Historic Cultural Monument!  On November 9, 2022, we cleared the final hurdle as the full City Council approved our nomination of the stately Queen Anne Victorian known as the Queen of Elysian Heights. Clearly the oldest structure in this historic Echo Park neighborhood, the home stands today on the corner of Echo Park Ave and Ewing Street as it has for over 127 years.  As the cornerstone of this community, it is not only important as an architectural resource, but also has family lineage connected to the powerful lessons of Chavez Ravine.  Long Live the Queen!
